TRADING MY S430---hELP
ok I have a SRS light on ,been on for awhile ,,I was told its the child seat pad passengers side,
last year I had the S in the shop for something else (ECU) , I know he had to charge the battery and I believe he unplugged the ECU . any way after I left the shop with in 3 miles the SRS light went out ,,it came back on about 4 days later..
Ok so now you know where I am going with this ,light out more $$$ on trade. Is there way to get the light out if only for a short time,
I own a OBD2 scanner that wont work.
and help would be great

Same response as to the same query on BenzWorld. I don't like your suggestion of helping you to fob off what could be a dangerous situation on anyone unsuspecting. A child placed in the front seat under those conditions could be killed if the air bag deployed. It's pretty disgusting that you'd be irresponsible enough to request that.
However, it can be a safety problem, not only for your family, but for others. The SRS light may also come from a loose connection to the seat sensor. Check the connections under the seats.
Be responsible and do the right thing.

like I said it would only stay off for 3-4 days
,So it would not harm anyone...
I would never put any human in danger ,As I put my life in danger for all us over seas ,
I believe there something like a 50 crank rule, also during a safety check here In Mass , especially where its being trading it would show up. So No harm done ..

I did not ever try to hide a defect, on a trade, now that you mention it, rbrandano. But your self-absorption is shown by the fact that you would try to hide one that is potentially deadly. You know what that seat sensor does. You know what the airbag does. You unquestionably asked our help in hiding it so you could get more money for a trade.
Judge you? Through your own words I know all I want to of you, and yes, I judge them harshly, irrespective of what I drive.
