MyStur, first no "above page" was present in your post. I presume you mean the MBUSA owner's registration page.
The manuals are not inexpensive. Contact your dealer, or do a search on the MBUSA website for the contact number to buy them.
You can download the COMAND manual electronically at http://home.earthlink.net/~phdwebsite/comand_manual.htm. However, there is also the basic Owner's manual, a phone manual (if you have an MB phone), a maintenance manual, and a Voice Recognition manual if you have that. Some of those can be accessed through the MBUSA site; if not, you'll have to buy them.

My point is, there are a number of manuals for a complete set - not just an owner's manual.
Gondon's point is that any valid VIN from a U.S. specification car will get you into the MBUSA website.

MyStur,
I doubt if anyone will spend several hours to scan the manual for you; that's a pretty big demand on one's time, just to save you a few dollars.
However, it's possible a contributor has a .pdf copy downloaded back when the manuals were available on the MBUSA site, that they would forward. Giving us the year of your S430 would have been helpful.
Other than that, buy one - contact Mercedes through the address or phone number on the MBUSA site that was given to you when you could not download the manual. Or, contact a dealer.

well, I registered and downloaded the manual. can't see a reason why you can't do the same?
it's around 11MB.. you should see the link on the upper left corner of the page after you log in.

The .pdf files only go back to the '04 model year (although one contributor reported success downloading an '01 version sometime this year); however, when I went back to the site after reading his post, I could not get any year prior to '04, even with the '00 I no longer have listed as my primary car on the site.
