Does this sound like a good deal?
I have a 2005 coming of lease,original resid. was 50K MB now offering @40k car is in excellent condition w/33k miles. warrentee until 12/08. thanks.

If it's yours and its not fully loaded I'd say no. let them have it. You can find better prices with more options, and you have already gave them enough lease money for that car. Let it sit on the lot for the next 4 months and you can get it for 31K

If car has AMG & new tires, then you have a great deal there, else, it's a good deal.

No AMG,need to replace front tires,btw if i were to keep the car i might want to upgrade to AMG. Do i need to get 18'(17' on now). Is there a good place that has good prices? thanks

If you go w/ OEM stuff, bodykit and wheels will run you at least $3-4K (if you're lucky to find used parts & decent labor). If you like the AMG package, try to find a car with it, it's better moneywise that way. Don't look for a regular one and upgrade later.
Here's mine, I bought it 6 months ago, 2003 S430, Cali car, one owner, loaded, was at 54K when purchased, for $30K.
I could have bought an S500 for $1500 more, same mileage & package, but I prefer the S430 due to better gas mileage. I couldn't detect much difference in power between the two
