The only thing I've done so far is the rims, limo tint, and I just had an indy MB specialist lower it via computer, but I still feel like I need to be lower. Opinions?

Thanks Jfendis, I've been looking around at the various kits available but I havent really found anything yet that makes me say "Wow I have to have it". I might go with the auto couture style lip kit, its kind of subtle but I think it would add a nice touch to the look of the car. Have you done any upgrades with the factory command/sound system? Not being able to play mp3's is really bothering me

Considering the fact that the whole mobile Mp3 explosion was barely off the ground when your car was made you are asking a bit much don't you think?

That is what I plan on doing with my car, after almost buying a S500 with a auto couture kit, I would like to replicate that look on mine.

yes I am very glad i did my homework for that, you guys here helped me alot with that. I wonder how much would it cost to get that kit and painted w the grille done as well and the S55 exhaust. Have you looked at any of the prices for the lip kit yet?

I think the authentic one is pretty expensive like over 2000 but I saw what I think would be like a fiberglass replica of that kit on ebay for about 900, Im assuming the authentic one is polyurethane and better quality, but I've had other cars with fiberglass kits and the quality really hasn't been an issue. Its relatively easy and cheap to have a fiberglass kit repaired, so if I decide to get the kit, I'll probably go that route. I wouldn't think it would cost more than about 300-400$ to get the whole kit painted considering there really isn't much surface area to this kit.

you should update ur tail lights its only 100$ for the new tail lights and you can self install it in about 45min

hey fusion what is the major difference between the 02 tails and 03-up tails, is it purely aesthetic, or is their any different functionality? And for 100$ are they decent quality? Any probs with seals?

Maybe someone could post a side by side of an 02 and an 03

vtec83 its purly aesthetic and i think there actually better loooking and even though its an aftermarket part its better quality then the stocks.. i dont have a side by side picture but i just pulled these 2 pics of the net for you.

gondon i guess its just personal preference which ones u like better but i think after loooking at the black s5 with the new style tai lights ull like it.

You should knock out those nasty orange bumper lens, they mess up the whole flow of the car. You should also change your tail lights to the 07 and up style like I did https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w220/225590-check-my-new-tail-light-set-up.html

the first day I bought my car I ordered the clear bumper lens. Then I got so sick of the red tails in the back I ordered the 07 lights and had the red part of the tails smoked at my body shop.

yeah mugsy I go out there, but Ive only been out there once with my S and that was when it was bone stock. So I doubt it was me u saw. Was the 07 light upgrade plug and play?

Ya i'm pretty sure they were. I didn't install them. When I got the lights I sent them to the body shop to get them smoked, so when they were ready to install I just dropped my car off for like 1 hour (went to pembroke mall to kill time instead of waiting at the shop) and they shop installed them for me also. LIghts $200, Paint and install $110, Having a fresh upgrade priceless!
