Xenon Bulb Upgrade (6000K)

Can someone please provide me with a reputable website to buy upgraded 6000K xenon bulbs for my W220? Part numbers if available woulb be great.

If you're going with 6000K, then Philips Ultinon is the best of the bunch. Quite pricey though. The rest of the 6000K are aftermarket, and most are junk.

If you look on eBay, there's a seller ID akinaboy, he sells only authentic xenon stuff, and reasonable in price

+1 also you can try suvlights.com, I bought my ultinons over there. akinaboy is probably better for pricing so I would check him 1st

Thanks everyone. I took this thing apart this morning and found out the swap is not so user friendly. It was fairly difficult to re-seat the bulb and ignitor back in place. I had to be sure I can swap this before ordering the phillips. So, would it be easier to remove the whole headlamp assy just to be sure the bulb is seated properly or just go with your instincts that it is. I didnt feel any clicks to ensure it was secured back in place. Also, to remove the headlight assy do you have to remove the bumper to access the bottom screw? Dang, what have I got myself into!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What bulb do you have ? D1S D2S OR D2R ? no you do not have to remove the lamp at all, the D1S has the ignitor connected to the bulb, the other two have a seperate square metal ignitor box that connects to the back of the bulb. once you put the bulb in the trick is to push the ignitor box on at slight angle, once your pushed on you have to spin the ignitor box either left or right to lock in place. you can feel it kind of lock in place, If not the bulb will flicker and go out here and there due to not being "locked in" . Hope this helps.

Thanks Vader, I have the D2S and I think I've already screwed up something in there. I drove last night and was following a white truck when I noticed my driver side light had changed purple. I think it's just the bulb and not anything else.

I knew once I sober up I can figure it out. My problem was trying to re-install all three pieces as one and in the process I broke the bulb. The ignitor comes out first then the ring and finally the bulb. Re-install just reverses the order.

No, these are OE. I wanted to know how easy the install was before I ordered and in the process I broke the oe. Now I have no choice but to get the ultinons.

Trying to help a friend with his s500 bulb replacement, I found a loose wire connector on each side. Do these connect to the igniter or something or are they test connections? After messing around with them, now neither works.

Never mind. Figured it out. Those connections are sure hard to see when hooked up.
