Engine Cuts Out At Idle on Long Journeys
I wonder if anyone can help me. I have a 1999 W220 S500 with 120k miles on the clock. The car has recently started to cut out when stationery or in slow moving traffic. This only happens when the car is on a long jouney (over 30 miles) and it wont start again for at least an hour once it has stopped, but it will turn over. No warning lights are showing and theres no faults being registered in the computer. Its also running 5-10 degrees hotter (aprox 85-90 instead of 82) but that may be down to the sunny weather as I didnt own it last summer. Any ideas??
