Drove S500 hybrid today

Well not really, but I am now getting better mileage than any Hybrid on the road. Look at my MPG this morning. Can anyone beat that?

Actually the car was making gasoline as i drive.

i knew that there was something very wrong with my computer. It seems fixed now that i've reset it. however I have seen 25MPG HWY regularly.

What did you do, leave the car in neutral and roll down a very long decline?

the only thing i miss

only thing i miss about our C240 and E320 is the fuel efficiency.that E320 got 30 MPG on the highway,it was a fantastic, efficient little car.In saying that,i would never consider getting rid of the S500 based upon fuel efficiency. It gets on average 23 MPG highway, about $25 per tank, more to operate than the C/E.it is worth every penny,we love it!.i keep hoping for premium fuel to exceed $5 a gallon, were getting close.i dont see any change in fuel prices until the blue collar americans credit card will no longer accept fuel purchases.the only reason that fuel is at it's current price is because thats what america will pay."it isnt based on supply"!

Pre 02 S class had some funny stuff happening. When you hit reset (R) it jumps to those high numbers and slowly come back down to the normal numbers. Let me guess, you took that pic as soon as you hit R????????????

Actually the MPG was wildly fluctuating all day. The picture also shows that I drove 12 miles in 0min. Once the car was shutdown, a few hours later everything was fine again.

Based on other replies, it seems that 30MPG hwy is about max to expect from a S500.

it just isnt possible for an S-500 to get an "average" of 30 mpg on a tank of fuel.you may be able to get the command to display 30 mpg but as soon as the downhill section is done it will start getting it's truly remarkable 21 to 24 average mpg.for it's size and weight, what other vehicles can do as well?
