S500 vs 540i
Sooo....I'm on my way to Charlotte, NC and I'm on I-85 outside of Salisbury, the highway here opens up to 5 lines and its about 3 miles straight. So i'm thinking wth. I drop down to 3rd and floor it, redline comes up I click to 4th. I run up on a BMW 540i, looks to sitting rather low on some aftermarket wheels, with exhaust. I see the exhaust come out as he "tries" to catch up. Buy this time i'm at 125mph walking away. Immediately I run up on 130......and we can all guess what happens, he begins to close in (ever so slowly) Good thing traffic was coming up, so I played it off and tapped the brake. I'm so frustrated right now, I'm gonna sit down.....and think about calling VELOCE in the morning..... this is some

I wouldn't beat yourself up about it too much. You do have a much heavier Car which offsets the extra HP. I got out of the speed game along time ago, it's really a pointless (and dangerous) obsession which at some time or another will make you depressed about the Car you drive....'Cause there's ALWAYS someone (usually many someone's) faster. I mean, for example, and E550 is a powerful car, with 389 HP, but when you think about all the cars that come out with 400++ HP, it makes that Car seem like a turd....I dunno, I fortunately have for the most part gotten rid of my itch.

A 540 will spank an S500 in most "performance" categories, it's a lighter, almost equally powerful and better suspended for sporting activities. However, the dated interior/exterior really takes away from it. My best friend has a DINAN 5 and it smokes the S500. I look better in my car than he does though.
