S600 Pipes on a S430
Hey,
I'm new to the forum, trying to do some research for a friend of mine. He wants to buy a S430, but loves the dual pipes on the S600. Can he simply order the S600 exhaust system and have this switched? I'm not too knowledgeable on the setup or the exhaust system yet (just started searching today), but any insight that can be provided on this while I run a search of the forums would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to our community!! As far as getting dual exhaust on the S430 it's possible but you have to go to a tuning shop that specializes in modifying exhaust setup like that. But it can be done.

www.performanceproducts.com sells cat-back exhaust systems for the 2000+ S430. I think they run about $1500 and up.
For some strange reason, Honda cat-back's run you $600 for a dual exhaust setup, while MB ones cost $1000+. They are basically the same thing except for the pipe length. LOL, talk about making easy money off of all of us....
There are also lots of other aftermarket cat-back dual exhaust systems. OR, you could always just buy the chrome exhaust tips for about $200 a pair. If its the look you are after, then this is the way to go. If you want some performance gains, then go for the cat-back dual exhaust systems.

thanks for the link. It's more than the tips.....ol' boy wants the pipes coming out of both sides of the back like the smoking guns on the S600 (which means a new bumper as well).

Hey SF280
that's a bad a$$ look you got for your ride w/ the kit and smoked tails. I'm personally not a big fan of the S class, but I had to pause for a minute and wipe the drool from my mouth when I saw that pic.
