Question gullwing / lambo door kit

Does anyone know a reliable brand or place where I can get a Lambo door kit for the 220 ? I've gone through the forums but could not find anything.

Has anyone tried this on a 220? I'd be curious to get some opinions / experiences before I go ahead.

Easy / difficult ? I've always wanted it, but I don't know the consiquences...

Thanks in andvance for any inputs / suggestions / warnings (?)

Manan

I dont think anyone has?if you wanna get creative then more power to ya but honestly, those kits are cheap and those style doors only look good on a long bodied two door car.

westcoast5, I hear you.. But this is something I've always wanted to get done.. Anyway after a little web search I found this guy in Canada. I've asked him pretty much the same questions and I'm waiting on an answer..

I'll keep everyone updated on the progress should I decide to go ahead...

haha let's see.. If the price works out and the install is as straightforward as the guy says it it is, I'll get it done.. My 220's a keeper for the next 2-3 years so I thought why not.. You only live once huh

Plus it's compltely reversable...

I have to say thats ugly! the doors dont look right the grill looks off and for that body kit a full face rim really detracts from it. On the other hand it made me talk about it.

Don't Do It!

The Lambo Doors on a Mercedes Sedan would not be a very good idea. I have a friend who did them with an S type Jaguar and they caused a big bend in the front of the body when a guy at the car wash open the door normally too hard and fast.

In other words they need to be pulled out slightly and then up.

Secondly, you would not have as much room to get in and out with the Lambo doors, and it would probably mess the vacuum system up too.

These are not the type of cars you want to do the Lambo door kit on!

all i can imagine on a 4 door car would be the back passengers trying to open their door while the front passenger is opening theirs and a hilarious trip to the body shop that would follow.
