Key price 2004 S600 Keyless Go
Thoughts?
The key will need to be programmed into the car's KeylessGO system when the dealer receives it, I assume the additional fee is for the coding. If you don't program the key, the KG functions won't work but the key physically will work.
I wish I could program it myself.
The picture I found on google picts, I think (awhile back)

No, I'm not in the city. But I'm EC (most of the time) so a little trip up to NYC could be in the plan. Still, not happening soon though. I make a point of only traveling so far north in the winter..... and for me, it's winter.
So how do you program it anyway? Need a tool or a just a code sequence?
Thanks man

Picked up the car today and was charged an hours labor to diagnose the key issue. So basically I gave the dealer the bad key, told him it was a bad key and was charged $115. Does that seem right to you?
Still, I asked if I purchased a new key did it had to be programmed and was told no. He said it came from the factory ready to go.
