Its a great comparison of a stock S600 vs S65 to see my S600 stock on drag radials vs this S65. His run of 11.59@122 is just incredible. My best run stock on drag radials is 11.97@114.7 with a 1.75 60'. You can see the hp difference and the potential there. I bet the AMG tune of the S65 is more aggressive but the larger displacement (5.5 vs 6.0) and the 65 series minor exhaust and intercooler circuit upgrades help as well. Good luck with the Kleemann tune and I hope it gives you a great performance increase.

That's good info Stephen, my brother (housclass) and I plan on bolting up my DR's to his 600 and seeing how it does. It'll be interesting to compare the 2 of you .

I ran it in dyno mode.....no ESP at all. That's the only way to get a good burnout and ET, IMO.
I ran the car on Mickey Thompson ET Streets 265/40/18......traction was no problem. As far as "launch technique" is concerned, very simple......I stood on the brake as hard as I could and power braked the car up to about 3k and then let go when I saw green. 3k is the point where the torque of the car overcomes the brakes and you can barely manage to hold it still......I thought I was going to physically "bend" the brake pedal from pushing on it so hard. MB bulids a solid car, no doubt about it
