2003 Mercedes S500 Lorinser
Help car failure???
was driving today when all of a sudden the car went into limp mode and all lights came on.
Instrument Cluster Failure- visit workshop
SRS system restraint failure
ABS
check engine
the car wouldnt shift first gear.
i pulled over disconnected the battery and let it sit for 5 mintues.
When i went to turn the car back on it didnt want to start up. All of the lights and functions were working fine though.
i called the tow truck company and two hours later he came. He told me to try and start the car up one more time and out of no where it started right up.
i drove the car to my restaurant with all of the malfunctions still on the display.
When i got in my car tonight and started it up all of the lights inside and outside were flashing simultaneously like a ufo every couple of seconds.
What can be wrong with my car??

Same problem on my S55 last week. It's still in the shop awaiting the replacement voltage regulator (plus an oil change, new rear brakes, etc. as long as its there anyway). If that does not do the trick, they may have to replace the alternator. It sounds like you may be in the same boat my friend. This little gremlin plagued me on and off for the past several weeks.

Whatever there's gas in...
After your battery has been disconnected and reconnected, all of those warnings and "visit workshop" lights will go off. After you reconnect the battery, turn the steering wheel 'Full Left, full right, full left' and they should go away.

gondon the car is in the shop dikfor....i guess 3-4 car lengths isnt enough next time ill make sure itll be 10 lol.
and chris i forgot you had the star diagnostic tool... my cousin is the head technician/team leader at sovereign mercedes in brooklyn. hes gonna take care of my car plus install the s65 brakes.

2003 Mercedes S500 Lorinser
They found the problem. It was my central gateway computer that controls around 30 computers in the car. My guys found water in it, but they didnt find water anywhere else.
Hes gonna put through dealer carwash a couple times to see where waters coming through. Could be my drainage that has leaves stuck on it.

they checked out the brakes for me also for fitment. He said it was gonna be an expensive job because my car is 4matic.
i would need new amg spindels $700 each. and wheel spacers for the front brakes. the 19" black lorinser rims i have on now have cleareance but the caliper is touching the inside spokes.
what do yuo guys think?? should i got ahead with the upgrade??

it was 700 for both side spindels and something else....my mistake lol.
