The easiest way (with crappy sound) is an FM over-the-air transmitter; a slightly better alternative is an FM modulator that splices into the FM antenna. Still not good, but easy and cheap. Harman-Kardon makes such a device (Drive+Play) that also has a screen and controls.
The best way will be with the D2B version of the Dension Gateway 500; see https://mbworld.org/forums/audio-ele...mentation.html - read carefully for the differences between the D2B version and the MOST version. You won't have song title readout, but you can select albums, artists, playlists and songs from the iPod itself while controlling scrolling and volume from the steering wheel. The D2B installation is MUCH simpler than the MOST installation (no fiber optic changes are necessary in the trunk for D2B). You can download the installation manual and user manual from the Dension site links in the writeup.

Exactly what i have done, sounds absolutely spot on. The only visible wire is about 1cm long between the bit that closes and the wood trim panel.
