Valentine Install - almost
Well, I got the "Better" V1 1.8 and tackled install myself this evening and very close. I installed the V1 right above the rear view mirror, ran the wires all the way around and installed the splitter for concealed display right by the hood release handle. I have ran all the necessary wires and tomorrow, I am going to wire it to the ashtray power source. I will take some pictures tomorrow while I am working, so we have some sort of visual guide for V1 install on W220.

Remind me to post pics of my install. I had the dealership install the concealed display on the wood between the switches and radio in the middle of the dash. It comes in handy for muting and seeing where the cops are coming from quick (saved my butt big time tonight on I-55). At first I didn't like it in such an obvious place but it is easily accessible and a quick glance to see which way big brother is watching me.

It is mounted in the right spot. There are 3 areas on the windshield that are infrared transparent - either side of te mirror behind the black dots and another lower down on the passenger side. The owner's manual gives measurements on how to locate if you are unable to see it. I have seen mine only once in an exact sunlight situation.

Mounting
I know I did mount it right. I have tested and it did capture all the signals.
And of course, I could not find the low spot opening and did not want to install RD too low since laser is useless anyway.
