did you get the car you were considering buying?i saw you were worried about depreciation.$44k for an 06 S600 with 18k miles for $44k is allready taken the hit and you should have that car in your garage allready!.i would not worry about "chipping" the biturbo until the warranty expires.

There are many other tuners besides Powerchip that I would use. But yes, it "works as advertised"...

German vehicles stink, will never buy again. Moved on to Toyota and BYD.
I don't know much about powerchip, I would recommend Kleemann or Renntech (I am doing Renntech next week). Chipping usually doesn't affect the warranty unless your dealership is a bunch of *****s.

I have looked into Renntech.........it is $ 3400 Vs $ 2400 for powerchip. Is it worth the difference?

Oxygen, what other tuners would you recommend?

I use Powerchip software for my company's tuning.

Here are the results of simple software upgrade:

scarybary: Do you think the sprint booster was worth it? I am contemplating this upgrade but having a hard time understanding how useful the device is if it doesn't add horsepower/torque.

I have yet to hear about any transmission failure due to software upgrade.

S600 has one of the strongest 5-speeds MB builds. Many clients drag race them without any problems.
