Hello, my car cranks but doesnt turnover.
This happens sometimes and it is happeneing more and more these past couple of days.
After a while of sitting and cranking the car magically it turns over.
Whats the problem?

Crank position sensor
MAF?
Faulty fuel injectors?


I have maf codes from the CEL pop up.. but the only time I have a problem with my car is when I try to start it.. never when it is running.. so I think the MAF could be out of the picture at least for now... no?

Crank position sensor, happend to me a couple weeks ago. This is a common problem. Might want to get that fixed, it will get you stranded somewhere, not to mention it was embarrassing for me lol.

cps, just had the exact same thing happen to me last month. not too much to relace. I think I paid about $400.

I called up kragen they have one for $130 with a year warranty... should I kragen it or ebay it? I think i might just kragen it and take care of it this weekend... it's just too embarasing.

Def get it for $140, I payed about $175 for mine. I don't know where $400.00 came from I'm sorry but somebody got over big time.

I didn't bother trying to replace it. My independent mechanic charged me $50 bucks to do it.

Soes anyone know where the part is located at? i just ordered mine and was hoping to install it this weekend, but have no idea where to start. I have searched but cant find any good instructions.

i have been searching high and low for help. I found this link, its not for the S but it gives you a idea. Ill be installing it this weekend if it is any different ill let you know

I was not able to get it off because of the heat shield that covers the bolt and my chubby hands could not really squeeze down there lol. I ended up paying a mechanic 40 bucks to do it. he even had a lil trouble but was able to do in 30 minutes.

A tip you will need a 1/4 extensions and a normal size extension to get to it.
