I run 275"s on the rear and 245"s fronts not lowered and they have never rubbed. On 18" AMG wheels.

I have: 245/40/19 (front) on a 19x8.5
275/35/19 (rear) on a 19x9.5

Seems to work.

Please tell me you are joking

Streched tires on an S is sooo satupid I can not even imagine the idea

On a 9.5" width rim, you can easily fit a 275-295. Just check the manufactures recs, you can always go 10mm wider, if going around bends is NOT your idea of fun. Otherwise, stick with their guidlines please.

If you are over 18, PLEASE, PLEASE don't strecth on an S

Otherwise they will compare you to the C63 section if you do

you know, you also run risks running tires that are too wide for the rim. keep in mind your tire manufacturer's suggestions as to wheel width.

i'm with MR. J on this one -- i run a 245/40 on a 11.5 width wheel.

And for what reason would you do this:

1. It WILL NOT handle as well
2. It WILL ride like a truck as there will be NO side wall flex
3. It looks absolutely retarded, IMHO
4. It will spin much easier, if it is a rear tire.

So your reason is

Note: I NEVER said to go outside of the manufacturers recomendations my friend. They always give a rim range for a tire. Your 245 on a 11.5" is WELL BELOW I might ad, please see below. Oh well, suit yourself. Just don't be surprised when the off topic bashes us again and puts you in the C63 class

245/40R18
Load Index 93 = 1433lbs (650kg) per tire
Speed Rating “Y” = 186mph (300kph) 93Y SL Treadwear: 140
Traction: AA
Temperature: A140 AA A 1433 lbs.
51 psi
10/32"
28 lbs. 8-9.5" this is the recomended rim width
8.5"
9.8"
9.1"
25.7"
811
Country of Origin "JP" = JAPANJP

oh crap, i posted that late at night -- maybe i should've added a disclaimer? but anyway, yes, i do choose to run an unsafe tire size, but i don't see the issues that you guys think i'll have. the only compromise is that i check tire pressures often (aftermarket tpms going in the car soon), but that's something you should be doing, stretched or not.

Here is a revolutionary idea. Instead of running tires that are too wide or too narrow for your 19X9.5 wheels (like some have recommended) why not just use what is recommended. It's not rocket science.

Like I said I have: 245/40/19 on a 19x8.5 OEM recommended size
275/35/19 on a 19x9.5 OEM recommended size
(BTW. These tires don't look like ballons either)

If you're trying to run 19x9.5 all the way around instead of 19x8.5 like I have on the front then you'll obviously have to go with a different size than a 245/40/19. You also never stated what the offset is on your wheels. Without that it's tough to make a proper recommendation.

Try this link. It lists almost all of the recommended wheel/tire sizes & offsets for various Benz models.

stretch tires have never given me problems.. besides they go out 2k miles..
