New S Class

I am considering buying a S500 and after we bought our 02 Navigator in March then 3 month's later the 03 New body was out it really showed me the drop in value. I guess what I am trying to say is realistically when will a new S Class come out. Dropping 88K and seeing a new body come out 6 months to 1 years later would really **** me off (again). Although we got a great deal on the Navigator I dont want to do this again. Can you relate.

2004 S 600
Most likely won't see the newly designed S class in US until fall of 2006.

I'm thinking Spring of 2005 designated as 2006. Sort of the same scenario as when the W220 was released.

I wouldn't be so quick to sum it to that. No one has seen the official finalized photos of the car. I have seen several mockups of the SL and the version that's out now blows em all away. Also, cars look very different in person than they do in grainy photos. I am reserving judgment until I see the car first hand.

well first off he was talking about the S class not SL, second there are pictures on the march issue of AUTOMOBILE, third it's a 2006 model so COLORADOSCLASS will have about three years with his current S class and he wont have to worry about a new model coming out until then.

I know that you were talking about the S. The SL was an example of how spy pics can be misleading. Again, the car may be titled "2006", but it WILL be released early in 2005. So the person you are talking about has only 2 years.

2007 S550 Sport
I recall seeing a picture of the new S, a computer enhanced, in the newest issue of one of the popular auto mags... I think Automobile or Car & Driver. Single headlights, but looked much better than the pics that were floating around here a while ago. It looks to be lower and wider, a noticeabley more agressive, aerodynamic stance. Shows some promise...
