Found the source to my problems!

The problem was a damn almost dead battery, i went out to drive it today and it was completely dead, so i hook a charger to it, let it sit for an hour and start it with the charger hooked up, i have sound to the radio, the air matic warnins are off and everything works fine...I just need a new battery. I ordered the MAF off that autohaz website for $135 so i should be riding within a few days! thanks for your help guys. So a low battery does cause dumb problems!

just be mindful that once batteries act up, they don't hold charge as well as a new one...have the jumper cables nearby!

Shane... and everyone else... DONT DO THIS!

NEVER start your benz with a charger hooked to the battery, it can fry the other electronics in your car! You will turn a $100 new battery problem into a $1000 problem.

You should not even jumpstart an Sclass using jumper cables. Batteries should only be charged when DISCONNECTED from the car. Just like I told you here

I agree with "tusabes", these cars do not like battery chargers and jumper cables. I had a weak battery 3 weeks ago and went through this, fried the electronic gateway module.

I hope this is not the case with your car, but prepare for the worse.

tusabes,
Thanks for the info. I'm new to the world of MB...if I have a battery problem, the s500 will get towed home. $135 is cheap for a battery. I'll save the jumper cables for the SRX.

remember all MB have free roadside assistance, no matter how old.

just call 1800 FOR MERCEDES
http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/data/p...e_brochure.pdf

they will come out to you and even install a battery .

No labor charge you just pay for the battery

Please keep in mind that Mercedes Roadside Assistance is a toll free call away. They will come to you to jump start you, give you a couple of gallons of gas, etc. at NO CHARGE for the life of the car, regardless of how many owners the car has had, under warranty or out of warranty, etc.

Or, if you have to jump start, use the Michellin Smart Cables (around US$40), they have surge protection unit built-in and no more black and red terminals, you connect your cables to whatever port on the battery and this Smart Cable will figure it out for you.

I hope this helps.

Do you own a pair of Michellin Smart Cables? I saw this on tv and wondered if they really work.

Let me guess - on BenzWorld you are "lowrinlife" and have stepped all over the advice given at https://mbworld.org/forums/suggestio...-guy-help.html. Guess what? It's on BenzWorld too.

Then you adopted a genuinely offensive attitude when you were called on it. So far you haven't shown the same offensiveness here. You'll get more out of both forums if you don't.

I'm going to have to second Skylaw on this- in case you hadn't figured it out yet, it's really the same 70 or 80 people on both forums... Running around, calling senior members (many of whom are quite selfless in their willingess to diagnose other peoples problems) "gay" and "stupid", using threatening language and implying that we are "stuck up" or god knows what else is not going to get you far; understand one thing: While there are always a few exceptions, the vast majority of the Mercedes-Benz community is one that is respctful towards one another, both on the road and on-line. We pride ourselves in being automotive enthusiasts first, and drivers of the world's finest mass-produced automobile. You're going to hear opinions, many negative, when you want to "pimp" your ride; that's your perogative to do so. But don't think that you can offend the very core of the membership here in return, many of whom have 2000+ posts, and think that you're going to continue to blindly beg for help- it won't be there. That said, I don't mind helping anyone I can- as long as respect is returned.
