Front struts leaking ?!

Hello
so i got a call from MB worker telling me my front struts are leaking even tho i never noticed anything weird while driving?
my questions are:
1) what's gunna happen if i leave them till the summer to get them fixed?
2) dealer told me they don't have to change the struts there is a repair kit for both the left and right front. and the leak is from the top not the bottom!
its 795.00$ plus tax canadian is it a good deal? total 900$
3) I've been noticing for the past 4 months that every time i get to a full stop while pressing the brakes i hear like its releasing air !! could this be a sign !
4) is the repair kit good? i mean does it last a good amount of time !
thank you

If they are leaking, you should do the repair immediately. If the fluid gets low and the pump runs dry, you'll be in for a much bigger bill as this will destroy it.

Uh they are leaking AIR not fluid.

This is an airmatic car and leaking strut tops are very common. The price sounds high but Im not familiar with canadian repair rates

i could fix it in michigan !! all i gutta do is cross the border which is 10 mins tops
how much is it usually in the states?

and yes its airmatic but it never dropped or went below the normal height even when i leave it for days ( more than 5 days ) but i know i have to fix it i rather pay now than pay double later !

And if you have airmatic (not ABC) and don't fix the strut leak, you will still burn out your pump and double your cost of repair.

There is one in Dovi, Michigan (dont remember the name) that worked on my 06 S600 once during a trip. They were great. Keep in mind the exchange rate between US and Canada when pricing.

did you mean Novi? if its Novi they were asking too much. and yes i am aware of the exchange rate its not much these days around couple cents different on the dollar.
but i still wanna know if these repair kits go bad after a while i mean i don't wanna waste money and after a year it goes bad. note that i don't drive aggressive or make hard turns !

Yes, sorry about the spelling. There is nothing inexpensive about them, they charge normal Benz rates but they do very good work, at least in my case. Three years later and all is well with my car. Not every dealer can make that claim. If its done right, you should't have any problems with it going forward. Again, it will depend on the quality of the repair.
