Have you resynchronized the systems after reconnecting the battery?

Unfortunately, the solutions for others who have described the problem differ. Here are the posts I see; and the one that seems to be closest to your description was the simplest fix of all, a rear wheel speed sensor. Some have been more complicated.

OK, here is an update to my ongoing problems. I replaced the fluid in the ABC/power steering. The car of course settled down on the rear tires and almost on the fronts. started the car and the power steering is a lot better feeling, but the shocks would not go up at all. I do not have a light on any ABC sport or raise buttons. plus, checked the rear and front shocks, no fluid getting to them at all. I do not think my pump is bad, but is there a fuse or relay other than the ones on the fuse chart 9&46, "O" relay, which I do not even know if this is correct because says airmatic not ABC. something is not letting the pump send the fluid to the shocks, is it the valve blocks? but what is causing the buttons on the dash not to work? the ABC sport, raise button and ESP? when the lights went out that's when the problems started, ABC, ESP and ABS. going to the dealership or and indy mechanic is futile as I am in korea and the garages are filled with "S" classes that have suspension problems and they cannot fix them. any clues?

How do you replace the fluid in the pump? If you opened the system to drain the fluid, it needs to be bleed of air. Also, you want to be sure to use MB fluid.

used MB fluid and cannot bleed the system if no fluid is getting to any corner of the car. also, you can raise the car up and down by the button does the same thing. but, cannot do that because my button does not work. herein lies the problem. what is making the buttons and the ABC not work?

I don't know how you "replaced" the ABC fluid. Did you flush the system, drain it or what? How you did this might have something to do with the malfunctioning switch. I'm no expert but it sounds like you have air in the system. Be careful not to run the pump dry as it is an expensive repair.

you are correct, there is air in the system. I called my expert in FL and he said that there is air in the system and i need to prime or kick start the pump. Now, the only problem is to find a competent MB tech/dealership that can perform the "rodeo" on my car here in Korea.

I believe you can get away without doing the rodeo. Read this thread, #20.

https://mbworld.org/forums/cl-class-...p-install.html

You will need to pressurize the system which bleeds air from the pump by applying about 15 psi (1 bar) into the reservoir and then start the engine. Once you get the fluid flowing and the "level control switch" working, you can bleed the system by raising and lowering the car with this switch. Do you have the MB manual library (shop manual) for this car? You should have it if you are going to do repairs. If you can't get it locally, email me. Good luck.

I read that also previously, but looks like I can take it to the dealership here. They said they can do the whole job plus have the car towed to the shop for $125. Seems like a real bargain and i will let the pros do it that have the tools. we will see if they can do as they say.

These three just came on for me last night, after reconnecting battery.

How do I 'resynchronize'?

bert, see post # 36 at https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...tart-here.html to download the latest version of the W220 S-Class Encyclopedia; it has a section on resets, and a lot of other links to helpful information on your car.
