left headlight bulb color mismatch

hows it going everyone!!

in a nutshell - purchased 01' s-430 silver on black, runs like a beauty except the owner replaced the left headlight bulb ONLY and not as a pair, totally mis-matched coloring as the right lamp is more clear.

ive got depo w220 headlights coming but i know the stock bulbs arent enough (but still better than mismatched bulbs.)

so the question is, what are some good 6000k HID kits out there??? and do they still do "check headlight" error?? my fathers CLK430 does that EVERY single time when the headlights come on.

Some HID companies are MTEC (Best but expensive) HIDextra, DDM Tuning...etc. Most HID kits now come with resistors or capacitors to cancel out the error. There are a few sponsors here in the group buy section offering HID's.

HIDextra has a special right now for $43. I'm using them in my fogs. You could see the pic in my sig. Then on the other end you have MTEC which are about $300.

Yea, order by bulb part #. If you are not sure give them a call or send the a message here on the forum. Whichever way you order, make sure to let them know you have a Mercedes and you need the error canceling capacitors so they don't flicker....

thanks so much for the info, fully appreciate it as it would of saved me a headache, i just now ALMOST ordered it without error canceling capacitors,

also too, i realized they have 8000k+ for same price.. i might even go with those, so they come complete with ballast and bulbs so can i request 8000k bulbs?? i mean.. with the ballast, the only difference is the bulbs in color temp right? again thanks for your time , i knew this forum is more than helpful

Yea, all HID kits come with ballast and bulb. They throw in the capacitors for free. All the HID kits regardless of temp should be the same price. Only difference is model and temp.

allllriiiiiiiiiiiiiiight its time to put the order thru, the last question i have - the HID kits are only for low beams correct? and as far as depo headlights, replace ONLY low beam bulbs and leave all stock bulbs on headlights, as far as necessary upgrade

Yea, you would just be replacing the low beams. You have halogen head light, correct? What's the model of your bulb? H7?

lol, $43 is going to make or break you but you want to make sure you are purchasing the correct bulbs. If they are the H7's then you need these http://www.hidextra.com/h7-6000k-aut...ersion-kit-361

I'm going by what's on Sylvania. But you should really check the bulbs yourself if your not sure. For the CLK Xenons they list the wrong bulb so it's better to double check. I already made that mistake once.
