Hood ornament VANDALISM!!
Everyone, watch your cars like hawks, haters ripped my ornament off my 220 last week! I just installed a replacement today and filed a complaint with the HOA where it was parked. It's always safe to get stuff on record in case it happens again. I'll be even more paranoid now everytime I leave it parked somewhere. Sucks...

Upon further inspection of my old ornament holder thingy, it seems they used a sharp object to get in between the ornament and the holder, and pulled/pryed with both hands to break the spring! This happened in an affluent neighborhood where my friend lives.

Sorry to hear that, a very unpleasant experience. I know it does not make it any better but bad guys have been stealing the famed MB Tri-star forever. One option is to remove it and install the flat MB Tri-star badge as the SL and coupe MB's.

at least its not "cool" to steal hood ornaments as it used to be in the 80s/90s so a lot less people do it...back in the day they were stolen all the time and worn as necklaces in the ghetto

If it stealing of the Tri-star becomes popular again, MB will have to change the design to the Rolls-Royce's hide-away Spirit of Ecstasy.
