I Have Truely Found a New Favorite....
I was a tried and true proponent of Magnaflow, and pretty much still am.
But after seeing and hearing this video, I am a new fan of the Meistershaft exhaust systems....Wow. I guess I have only heard them on BMW's and not a Mercedes before.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zNVEMsHytA
The video shows a Titaniam GT2 exhaust which is 5k plus for the CL65. For a similar exhaust (for w220 05' S600) is $2500 from GTHAUS.
More than I would like to spend, but one can wish, I guess.

I had Ti Meisterschaft on my E46 M3 before and it sounded VERY nice. At the track, people would ask me what kind of exhaust it was since it sounded good at WOT.
I don't know if I'd put it on a Benz though as it's quite loud (but still not Honda Rice loud)

Who would pay 5,000 for exhaust?
that pissing money away.
yes it sounds good. but not 5,000 good.

Just get an AMG exhaust and remove resonators and cats.

When I change the exhaust on my car, I will not be taking into consideration refinement....
I was just sayin, that exhaust on an CL63/65 was off the chart!

Im almost positive you are correct Vabene07, the O2 sensors are located in the primary cats. I dont think removing the secondary cats will throw any error codes because technically, its just a metal box with no sensors

Here are the quieter 50 series plus resonators

Delete the resonators and slap Flowmasters in.....

Hey guys, let me buy a nearly silent luxo boat and turn it into a trashy loud beater...completely silly.

It may not be your cup of tea, but it's mine.
Maybe explain why anyone would do the same on a 2010 CL65......because it's what they prefer. There is no right or wrong here.
I respect your preference for refinement, but don't knock mine.

Cannot agree more. Worse yet -- why let everyone else's ears suffer from the constant reminder of your imaginary coolness when you drive by? I don't care about your personal absence of taste and the need to "personalize" your car to the best of your abilities as long as it doesn't discomfort me and my preferences. I only hope the cops would write more fix it tickets.

Before you criticize him, did you jokers even bother to watch the video I posted?
We arent talking about a Harley with straight pipes that wakes up the neighbors..we are talking about a nice deep growl that the DRIVER can hear and feel.
it is very unfortunate that some people think a Resonator delete is OK, but a custom louder aftermarket system is not. And worse yet, passing on your judgment of other forum members is in poor form.
Speak intelligently lest you sound like a fool (and sound worse than the stock exhaust!)

Yes, I have. Some of us aren't deaf to the point where it no longer bothers us. It's definitely not just the driver who would hear it; maybe such a driver should just cut a hole in the floor to better appreciate "the sound."

Your real gripe is that you look down on anyone performance tuning their Benz. And you feel compelled to pass judgment on others. Shame on you.
This is the wrong site for you, since mods are readily discussed and we dont need people poo pooing anyone trying to get info on mods.
Try the MB Club of America forums if you are a purist and only wish to associate with those committed to originality.

you are ridiculous. A 600 benz with a custom exhaust is still going to be quieter than a corvette, ferrari, lambo etc. Even a new sl63 is louder. Using Your line of reasoning, why dont you ban all those cars because their loud exhaust irritates you.

I guess no one should ever improve/customize their cars because people's ears might get offended...
