Who Has The Power To Pull Away?
A neighbor of mine has a BMW 760Li (V12TT - 535hp/550tq - 5150lbs). He thinks it's faster than the S600 (493hp/590tq - 4610lbs). (P.S...The hp is under rated on the S600. It's more like 505hp - stock). But whatever with splitting hairs.
What's your take on that?

No need to tell me about racing variables. I am just looking for opinions on which car pulls away, with all things being equal.

Well on paper, more torque usually equals more pulling power, so I am leaning on the Bimmer; I'm not sure if the weight difference between that and the Benz would be enough for the Benz to win though.

S600 = 590tq.

500 lbs makes a pretty big difference with (somewhat) similar power on the 760/s600. But if you're THAT worried, get a tune without him knowing. game over.

Don't know how the trans in S600 but bimmer trans delivers better performance. However, more tourq and less weight I would think that Benz got this if wheels don't spin too much

I have heard so many times Mercedes under-rated the 600 by a great deal due to customers buying the
65's for more money and MB not wanting the backlash.....

I have heard less, but I believe your hp number is on the money.....
