HID Kit Install Questions

HID Kit Install Questions
Hey. My Uncle has a 02 S430 without the xenon lights. He wants to add an HID kit but we're not sure as to how. I've done kits before, but not in a Mercedes. I heard that you need something to prevent flickering and error lights? What confuses me most is how to wire a relay to the battery in the trunk.
All help is appreciated. Thanks!

you shouldnt have to wire anything into the battery , they should be plug and play kit .. just take off the plug from the headlight and and plug into the kit , install headlight into housing and should work ..

if u want to bend over and get screwed, the dealership has bosch bi-xenons for $1500+
or if u want to save money and spend saved money on other things, u can get DEPO - up to par with BOSCH quality..
as for me, i didnt feel like bending over for them so i went with DEPOs..
works with factory xenon and non factory, let them know so they can pre-wire for factory xenon.
dont know if u have factory xenon? call your local dealership with VIN and they will check for you.

yes theyre depo, theyre really good quality and they claim its german made but i believe the projector lens are "german made" also too there is another company called "eagle eyes" my buddy in washington has them and his headlights started to turn a green/yellowish color, so theres a huge difference with other brands quality, the DEPO headlights come with all philips bulbs but u can request 6000k or 8000k on the low beams, ive got 8000k on mine.

I saw these headlights a while back on eBay and have been considering taking a chance on them for my '00 S500. Did the new lights come auto leveling ? Was it truly a plug & play installation ? Let me know when you can.
Thanks,
McNeil

Twins05 - heres a link to the color chart http://www.bfxenon.com/v/vspfiles/as.../colortemp.jpg 6000k being most white, with projector lens, 6000k from a far emits a purple/blue-ish color while 8000k has the same effect, u can see it straight on 30% blue 70% white.
McNeil - yes they auto level and is plug & play, i have factory xenons and informed the seller and the "pre-wiring" quality is plug in play, simply remove factory headlights and ballast and bolt on new headlights and ballast, no error codes, no cutting of wires, everything works out the box.

Do the car lights run on reversed polarity? I got my HID kit yesterday and it said that if it is, the error code eliminators might explode. I just want a heads up before I accidentally kill myself.
