WTB sirius and bluetooth for 04 s55

Hello.
I purchased a 04 s55 and would like to add those two items to it. I found the wiring for the bluetooth puck in the console, and my radio has the sat button, but no receiver. I would probably like to add a antenna inside the back window as apposed to the trunk mounted one.
I found the bluetooth puck on ebay for 280$, but would like to find one source for both items.
Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

Sirius kits are in very short supply. If you have found a suitable Bluetooth puck, I suggest that you move ahead with it.

Everything I've read says that model is prewired, i just need the bracket, tuner, and antenna. I'm fine with rigging the bracket and antenna, but i cant seem to track down the tuner part number. I've seen these tuner numbers on ebay but not sure which, if any, might work.

A 211 870 33 89
A 171 870 15 89
A 216 820 21 89
A 169 827 01 62

I ordered the bluetooth from ebay....

See https://mbworld.org/forums/audio-ele...t-numbers.html and http://www.benzworld.org/forums/audi...ius-radio.html; while several may work, the receivers for various models are not interchangeable.

That pdf shows part number formats in a B6 xxx xxxx format. All the receivers i found/posted use the Axxx xxx xxxx format...

Is there a correlation between the formats? it looks like the A 211 870 33 89 might be the equivalent to the B6 783 0060 part?

I found that page earlier today, but that really doent do anything to tie the two numbers together. It just states one is a "Passenger car parts" and the other "Accessory parts".

I know what it says. I do not know whether the correlation you seek exists. The only correlation I know of is on the pdf in the first link I sent you, which lists the part numbers for both the complete installation kit, and for the tuner by itself.

A part that starts with "A 211" such as in your post #5 above, is ordinarily for a W211 (E-Class). With some parts, they will work in other models; some, but not all parts are interchangeable between the W220 and the W211. That would seem NOT to be the case with the Sirius installation.

Someone else may have a better answer - I hope they do. But until then, I suggest you use the chart I gave you in the first link in post #4 for your purchase. As you can probably tell, the same tuner is used among many (but not all) models,; the kit numbers differ because of different mounting brackets, wiring harnesses, and different antennas that come in the kit.

04 W220 models are prewired the trunk also has wires for the antenna that is drilled to the top and connected. I bought the reciever when my car was delivered new. I did not let the dealer install the antenna I did as you want to do when you find a reciever very simple. The reciever is installed in the rack above the GPS unit. The part # that I have is 240 820 15 26 supplier motorola. Have you tried ordering from MB dealer guessing the used option may be difficult, let us know what you find out. You won't regret have Sirrius.

Actually the chart shows that the sirius receiver is the same for the three model years covered. So i would assume they are interchangeable since they have the same #.

Thanks, I finally tore into the trunk and found that the prewireing is there. I ordered the a211 part off of ebay and hope for the best since no one knows which one will work in my car. I dont need to know the part number if i go the b6 part number, i can just go to the dealer and buy it now, but 1200$+ isnt gonna happen...

Go to a differnet dealer I paid to much $895.00 installed either someone looking at the wrong part or there parts margins set-up to upset customers. That price is a rip off.

I will save you time and headaches. Go to Cartronics and order their ViseeO MB2 Bluetooth puck. It works flawlessly for me in my car. It will in yours too.
I went through a nightmare of trying different Mercedes BT pucks and never got total compatibility until the ViseeO purchase.
In addition, Cartronics also has a Sat radio receiver for a great price. It's plug and play and that single unit allows you to have your choice of either XM or Sirius.
It works wonderfully as well and allows you to install yourself.
I have purchased a few things from Cartronics and had great outcomes so far.
Hope this helps.....

I saw the cartronics stuff a couple times. but it was still a tough sell for me.

How about a special deal for us poor folk who are stuck in 2004 and no UHI? The Itronic looks like a really nice piece, and I would love to give it a try...

Did MB even make a BT unit for 2004?

Yes, and for the '03 and '04 E-Class and '04 S-Cass it is the easiest and least expensive OE add-on of all. See https://mbworld.org/forums/audio-ele...ml#post2788377 and read the post addressing those cars.

Please do not discuss the discount publicly on this forum. People will call us two years from now looking for the same deal because they read and old post. If you have questions, please email us or call us directly from the site.
