As far as I know, yours is not burl walnut (dark brown) and doesn't seem to be chestnut (light brown). Most likely is eucalyptus as '02S430' says. Ask your MB workshop to ensure, but I think there are no more common wood colours.

I was pretty sure mine was eucalyptus, but I feel like I read somewhere that its something else.

Either way, I'm not sure it would match.

yeah DasGeld - its a picture of my son, the steering wheel is perfectly blocking his stance

OliverK - very beautiful color combo.. nice warm and comfort feeling, color not too aggressive, it was only until several months ago i discovered the designo package

the only other designo ive seen is cameraman123's which i believe is pre 03 model - both very phucking stunning.

The exterior color is mocha black, which has a brownish metallic tinge in certain lights. really tough to photograph:

The Designo expresso edition came with mocha black metallic exterior with light brown nappa leather with natural elm wood. Not sure if all years were the same. Anyone have a brochure for the different model years?

Thank you. It looks better in the pictures than it does in real life. It sits outside and goes into NYC often, so it has its battle scars.

i do detail it myself...the ceramic clear is hard as hell. I use a PC full blast with meguiars ultimate products. turns out nicely.

hey guys just called the dealership and got paint code 744 and interior code 261?

after some quick searching, i found the 744 is brilliant silver and 261 is leather black or "anthracite" weird name, dated back in the 70s??
