Pulley Wobble and Ticking
Hey guys, can you check out these videos.
The first it seems to pulley is wobbling or is it eye tricks?
The second this ticking is coming from around the brake lines and that plastic piece.
what is it?

Personally, I think it's a trick of the eye. As the belt is moving, there is a lighter patch that flashes into view periodically. To me, it seems to 'wobble' in rhythm to that patch. But the pulley obviously will revolve a couple times for every pass of the lighter patch. In those times, the pulley looks stable. IMHO.
Not sure. But I don’t think the MB Engineering Brain Trust created something that is supposed to normally sound like that. W220’s – regardless of engine – should be quiet. Lifters / valve clearance maybe (?)

These motors are like kids: you should be afraid when they are quiet! All kidding aside these engines are a little louder and or noisier than some would expect. However, if it is an unfamiliar noise you are hearing the cause should be investigated. In my case i a hearing the power steering pump more lately havent had a chance to check the fluid level lately. I will this weekend! I know I wasn't much help, I apologize but I am the type who doesn't like tinkering with mechanics when it comes to these cars.

The ticking is the Purge Valve. My understanding is this.
Fumes build up in the gas tank. As part of the emissions process, these fumes end up in the charcoal canister. occasionally, these fumes are then vented into the intake to be burned.
This valve controls the purging of the fumes from the charcoal canister to the engine.
The ticking is normal.
As for your pulley, all the m113s I've looked at look like they have a bit of runout on the crank pulley. Not sure why, but it shouldn't be an issue.
You can check to make sure the bolt is tight if you are concerned.

That is indeed reassuring to hear.
Though I did not notice that ticking prior to my DIY Spark Plugs/Wires/Fuel Filter replacement.
Further research confirmed it:

Crankshaft pulley/Vibration Damper was wobbling and would lead to this:
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/...e-updated.html
I noticed a engine vibration and whole car shaking at idle.
Changed it out and back to bliss.
Ordered:
http://www.autohausaz.com/search/pro...=W0133-1612638,
Plus the new bolt for another $8.
I advise you guys to check yours.
