2003 S430 W220
2003 S430 W220 HID

Hello mbworld, I am new to this so be gentle and patient.

I am currently looking for an H7 HID system for my W220 Headlights on an S430.
This W220 has 3 H7 bulbs so that alot of HID, but there not all on at the same time. I want to see if anyone has recommendation on an HID kit that they have purchased or seen and heard of. I would really like some pictures pleas in order to see the different color temperature. I dont like the Yellow stock bulbs nor do i like the bright blue, i am leaning towards white with a hint of blue. so white it looks beautiful!!!! Also I am trying to be creative with the inner H7 lights as they only turn on when you unlock the car. I was thinking of an actual deep blue (which is not illegal because they never turn on except for the few 5 seconds when you unlock). I have heard of issues with HID kits and the computer system. Can anyone tell me what this is about and how to not run into this problem. I dont want to have a constant message telling me that i am missing a light. Amazon has some Kensun kits, which are really cheap. I love the price but dont want to waste my time if it wont work for my Benz. Again Pictures please!!!!

how can you have 3 h7 bulbs? The inner lights you're talking about are probably the fog lights (h1 55w) and you can turn them while driving too. I could be wrong but i've heard that if your fog lights turn on when you lock/unlock your car that means you already have hids on your car, so that means you don't need a 'kit' but only bulbs. If you had halogen, then your headlights would turn on when you lock/unlock your car

On my car, my low beams are h7 xenons, high beams h7 halogen and my fog lights are h1 halogen. If you said 4 h7 i'll understand that you're talking about both the high and low beams, but 3?...

purple w220 s430
my 2002 s500 had factory xenon with auto level, it did turn on the fogs when unlocking or locking it, my 2003 s430 didnt have auto level or factory HID, yet it still did turn on the fogs when unlocking or locking it... BUT !! my 2000 S430 also didnt come with foctory xenon, when unlocking or locking the headlights didnt come on, ONLY when i would start the car, or close the door when exiting the cockpit, they would shut off with the car, but turn on when i close the door behind myself.... H7 Low Beams H7 High Beams H1 Fogs, i think he meant 3 pairs of H7, but i never seen H7 in fogs the bulb socket is to small only ment for H1 Bulb not to mention the connector wouldnt fit

Jason - go to the link bellow, 50 bux for Canbus HID meaning they wont give u a BULB out Code, he's in Long island newyork so it will take a few days to get to you, but nothing beats 50 bux for HID kit, i payed 75 but mine are 55watt,

HID

Alright so i have purchased HID. and havent found out about the inner lights, but i dont care for now because i am going to do the low beams first.

this is the kit that i purchased after reading and research

http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-autovizion...0ae0d4&vxp=mtr

Just copy and paste the link and tell me what you think. I have decided not to bother with the high beams.

Quick question do i need to purchase a relay harness/resistor, or canceler? and is a relay harness the same thing as a resistor?
