if you get the performance products catalog, you'll find that RB Tech has a lowering kit available for the S class for roughly $300. If you find out how to program the computer to lower a half inch please let me know. thanks

stephens in the E55 section was going to post pics of the DAS computer screens showing how to lower via computer. Haqven't seen them yet.
The trick seems to be getting the lowered settings to stick. My dealer tried to lower one, but it soon reverted to normal height. There apparently is a way to input new settings (voltages) for the electonic sensors to keep it lowered.

I've posted many times about lowering airmatic/ABC cars. There is the software solution and the hardware solution.

Isn't the European setting lower? or something like that. Does this mean all of the S-classes in Europe are lower stock than here?

Here is the link to some instructions on how to lower an E class. Don't know if the S is exactly the same, but they are all pretty similar w/ the airmatic. The sensors may be in a slightly different place. Did this myself in a couple of hours. All you need is a couple of washers and a Dremel tool. Real easy if you are looking for a drop up to 1.5 inches. Any more and you will need further modifications or the software fix. This is free, easy and works great. Check out the following...
