New for MY04!!!!
I just thought I would let everyone know that there will be some upgrades on the MY04 S-class. Of course we all know about the DVD Navi and the 7G-Tronic tranny, but on top of that Tire Pressure will be standard on all S-class (except 4Matic). Also, they are increasing the Bose Speaker system to 12 with digital "CabinSurround" enhancements. There will be a new standard 17" wheel design and the Keyless Go will be integrated into the Smart key.

Our Netstar system allows us to print from a Dealer Ordering Guide. This has all the optional codes and equipment for each vehicle in the Benz line-up. BTW, the CL in '04 will be getting the same TPM standard, along with 7G-Tronic tranny and the Bose enhanced to Dolby 5.1 digital.

Not only am I a MB enthusiast, I work in the Internet/Fleet Dept. at the #2 MB dealer in the country. The Netstar system is MBUSA's way of letting the dealership track vehicles and inventory. I can locate a car that is at a dealership in Boston or tell you when your ordered car will be built almost 2 months ahead of time. It is a very neat system and has a lot of valuable information for the dealers.

I want to make one correction to the post I made earlier. The 4Matic versions of the S-class in MY04 will also have the TPM system as standard. The bad news is that where I miss read the 4Matic exemption was on the 7G-Tronic tranny!!! So, all you 4Matic buyers will get the TPM system, but not the 7-spd transmission. I apologize for the mix-up & would like to thank....eross.....for questioning the info. that made me go back and double check my facts!!!!

I do not think that will be the case...... Even in the W211 E-class that we have gotten with the COMAND system for the Replacement Program have not offered that cabability, so I do not think it will be part of the MY04 S & CL's.

Oh, I almost forgot about the additional 2 speakers. Information I have seen previously indicates that the 2 additional speakers were specifically added to accomodate 5.1 surround reproduction. So, once again, while I wouldn't think these 2 additional speakers would hurt normal 2-channel playback, they may be of little extra added benefit without 5.1 playback.

Marcus, maybe I didn't read it properly, but what's the story re 7g-tronic on AMG 55's? Are 7speeds coming on the 2004 model S55, SL55 and E55?
