Thanks for the comments, HDS500.
As the driver, my right arm rests on the leather part of the console and not the cupolder so it has never been an issue. The only thing is that my girlfriend or for that matter any other person that's riding shotguy is something you might want to worry about. Well for one thing if they wear a watch with a metal wrist band or a coat with metal buttons then it might get scratch if the person rests their left arm on it which they tend to do on the cupholder. Generally, I just give people heads up if they're wearing something metal on their left arm![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I love the look of burlwood in a Mercedes but I do want to avoid making it look like a Jaguar or rolls-royce which has IMHO too much wood.

I did warn that it wasn't cheap. Still, it's better than what Mercedes would charge for S600 parts which don't come in pieces. For instance, the S600 overhead burlwood cover for the map lamps (and sunroof controls) list for almost $900 and that's for the whole assembly and you can't just buy that piece separate either.

Hey thanks, guys. You guys good taste especially JAME55. To answer Musfather's questions, the wood kit is definitely not from Lorinser but rather, they're from Mercedes. They're available in Europe and why not in the U.S. I have no idea.
