Yea the designo silver edition is a beautiful car. Even the wood trim looks great, even tho i'm not a big fan of wood trim. I didn't know the designo editions had a full leather dash also.. i'm impressed.
But worth the extra $10K? hard decision..

This example really is fully loaded: Designo, 4 place seats, AMG sport package (wheels, skirts, front and rear bumpers) and from the looks of it distronic (and probably parktronic) options. The only thing left would be keyless go...

Hey thanxs for that tinformation Hal H!
HEy PHYBENZ,
whatsup man? Thats a good question man. I think out of all the cars, the Lexus has the best quality! Ever inch of the car seems perfect, nothing wrong with it! It is very solid, materiel looks like its quality material. The seats, stearing wheel everything about it, its excellent quality. But the Mercedes S is like inches away, its an awesome car, and also very awesomely build. Again if oyu ask an S-class owner he will say to you, the cars's quality is great! But i think they whould but leather on the dash board like they have on the S600 and the designo packages. The X5 looks like it has awesome quality materiel inside aswell. The dashboard looks like its very nicely made, i think it is made out of a very strong thinck leather. Its soft! And the Honda, well its a Honda, what can I say, its simple but it will last the longest, and will probably have the least amount of problems.
For know none of the cars have had any problems! Technology is getting more advanced by the minute and the cars of these dasys will be more reliable and problem free.

2004 S 600
Yeah...the designo silver has a definate "yellow" tint. The charcoal designo doesn't have as much leather treatment.....has no leather on dash anywhere.
That's why I got the S600....2001 with all the options (of which there aren't many on the 600). Actually wish I had not gotten the four place seating package (no middle seat for when you are trying to ride with three in the back makes it a little uncomfortable to say the least.. for the center person.)
I got black with the light grey interior (more leather and wood than the silver designo). But the V12 is what makes the S600 paramount to all other cars.
I think Mercedes has to upgrade the interior for all of the S models for 2003 to stay competitive with the 7 and LS430. I've been in the new LS430 and 745 (and driven both) neither of the models come close comparing to the 600 interior or in any performance criteria. But, of course neither costs nearly as much.
I do wish the 600 had an extra option on the ABC system for "cush ride". It now has regular and sport modes....the 600 suspension is the exact same as the S55....just a tad rough when all you want to do is cruise smooth at 80mph. Since I put 19" wheels with P-Zeros on mine....my 600 rides a touch rougher than the S55.
