Did I read this right? The output lines and the hydraulic reservoir of the ABC portion can be completely removed? No needs to route the output lines to the reservoir?

Yes, Sorry for delay response. I seen ABC go for years with out fluid in the ABC portion of the pump. I have done the same thing on many w140 S600 when converting from ADS to conventional. I mean I drove 4 hours after I blew a ABC line and the car performed flawlessly(on my S55).

Another thing to add is my fuel pressure control unit was a 4 bar unit as i expected! The 5 bar unit I purchased is from a SL. It has different connectors on one connection. Both wires have same color, I am going to splice and heat shrink the 220 connection on to it. I purchased a heat gun to confirm heat of my fuel rail, I would misfire when the front of the rail exceeded 200-210F. Will report back soon

My parts should be here next week also, I ordered the pump and controller.

There are different part #'s posted in the bulletin I linked, one for the S/CL, one for the SL. You probably got the wrong part if the plug doesn't match.

Thank you very much for the confirmation. This is giving me lots of options to deal with a leaking pump. If the power steering portion doesn't leak then I shouldn't have to worry about fixing the pump.

It located where the rear abc valve block is. Infron of the rear driver side tire. There is sticker on it, that will indicate what pressure the unit supplies. My car had a 4 bar, when I check and found a dealer note to replace the unit with the new part number (5 bar), I ended up getting a r230 5bar unit and splicing the one connector on it. I let car sit in garage running, turned off check 15/30/45 minutes no problems. I will take her out in the NYC and see if it happens tonight, it is really cold out so I might have to wait till it warms up to really put it rest. So far, all good! Another note the pump is noisy now, I am thinking maybe the fuel filter isn't allowing optimal flow. In any case new fuel pump on the way.

The bulletin says to replace the controller/pump/filter, probably for that reason. I'm doing all 3 on mine next week when the parts arrive.

I normally notice the hot restart issues after racing, when I come back and park the car hot and it heat soaks for a half-hour. I will be able to tell right away if this solves my problems.

Exactly what I WAS** experiencing, How long have you owned the car? @italianJoe1
The car is an absolute blast to drive, with the tune. I gutted the cats and she is tuned, I will take her to the dyno monday or tuesday, first run was 457whp with a boost leak!

THE S600 is done!

I've had this one about a year, maybe slightly longer. I have downpipes sitting here to go in next time I have a chance. I race the car regularly on the street, it's fun beating up on mustangs/camaros/corvettes in complete silence, nobody knows what to expect from this car.

What down pipes did you get? I will be throwing some on the S65 shortly, might just get a custom custom stainless system an call it a day.

Speeddriven, as they are the most reasonably priced option. I would love to just cut the cats out and put my stock pipes back in, but as I only work on the car at my job, I don't have the luxury of having the car apart for days for fun. I need my lift to make money, so I will do the rear main and downpipes on a Saturday and have it ready same day.

De-cat

I had a shop cut the pipe a inch below the cats and used a air hammer to knock all the crap out and welded them back up did it for 100 bucks. Then used star and turned the cats and secondary injection system off. Presto

I think my tandem pump is gone as I'd been running the ABC portion dry. Today I heard some noise when turning so I went straight home. Checked power steering reservoir and fluid is at the minimum mark. Filled it up and saw fluid spitting out of the pump.
I'll need a new pump but is there anything else I need to get to repair the noise when turning?

You need a s430 power steering hose, reservoir ( $20 bucks), the gasket, and C clip for the reservoir. Also you have to get power steering pump that has the braket mounted to it already.

Here my post documenting the stuff

I heard the S430 PS would be ok for the V8 but not for the V12. Is that not true?
I don't mind getting a tandem pump and run the output side to the reservoir.
Did you have any noise issues with your steering when it happens? I want to see if I can tackle the whole thing at once; are there any other parts to get?

No other parts, lose the tandem pump. I feel like I gained 30hp since I swapped it out. Also car is way quieter now, you can use the S500 pump on the V12 but only two bolts line up. Not a big deal.

I'm a sucker for HP gain. I think I took it out with the eurocharged tune as I didn't see fluid before the tune. When you are mentioning pre mount bracket, are you taking about a special mount with a specific part number? 0034662401
Look like there's no mounting screw for the back. Is this what you are talking about? 2003 S600 .... Engine out-photo381.jpg
