What's best affordable way to get rid of speed limiter?

Well the title pretty much says it all. I bought a 2003 s600 5.5 v12 about two weeks ago. I've not gone faster than 100mph yet, but from what I've read the limiter kicks in about 125-130mph. Does anyone know what's the most affordable way to remove the limiter? If I need to go to a special tune shop I live in Southern California. Thanks everyone!!

You would probably need a tune. I'm here in SoCal too and the roads out here aren't good enough to go past 120 anyway.. I know with my S55 if I'm at 65mph and I give it 1/3 throttle I'll be at 110 in about 2 seconds.

what year is your 600? A tune can get ride of that for you and also add a ton of power.

You need to grab the $725 ECU/TCU tune from eurocharged now.

I've heard the limiter can be coded off using the SDS computer . You just need to find a shop or forum member with the computer who can do it for you . Much cheaper then getting a tune , maybe $75-150.

but seriously do you really need to go faster than 130 on California roads ? That's putting everyone on the roads life in danger because they are not expecting a car that fast , even if you are a good driver it's the other people that can't react to you in time

I won't be going 150mph from my home to the local Walmart every time. One day when there's no cars in sight in one of the many endless freeways here in Southern California and the mood is right. I'll know that if I decide to push the twin turbos to the full potential there will be no possibility of disappointment. Again when the road is clear, the road is straight, the air temperature is just right, etc only then I'll go for it. I know you don't know me, but I'm not stupid.

Hey Peter, I don't mind, I just don't know where on the system you remove the limiter but your welcome to come and use it.
