v12 TT crankshaft sensor
Hi, Everyone!
I need to change cps on my 03 s600 v12tt. Engine stalls when hot. Looked all over with no success. I saw s500 v8's But no v12tt. If anyone can direct me to link or web sight or just tell me where or how to change it I appreciate it. Thank you.

The camshaft sensor is in front of the engine and the crankshaft sensor is behind the engine below the driver side intercooler.
In my experience, the camshaft sensor seems to be the issue for warm-up engine.

Thanks for response. In my research it is crank shaft sensor. Now how to get to below the intercooler. Do we have to take it out? Or we can reach from top.
Thanks ,johny

It's on the top, on the back of the engine. You will have to see what space is there, I haven't looked. I saw it clearly when my trans was out but obviously that's not gonna help you.
FWIW, the little false firewall just behind the engine is fairly easy to remove, and will give you lots of space. Climb back there and look straight down, slightly to the drivers side, and see what you have. I usually find a way to snake a socket down there and unbolt them without removing much of anything, but I haven't had to ever change one on a V12

Thank you it's helpful. My local repair shop asks 250-300 . Feel like I should save some money because it is just a tiny $30 part to change. R&R one screw and connector. I'll look it up soon. Thank you.

I am going to save you tons of time and money. Check your fuel pressure regulator, if it says 4 bar, your fix in changing it to the updated 5 bar units. What happens is the ethanol in your fuel rail boils when the car gets hot and you try to turn it on! A 5 bar regulator can defeat the vapor lock. Good LUck

Fuel pressure controller is under the car in front of the left rear wheel, remove the plastic cover and you will see it there next to the fuel pump and filter. On the sticker on the box it will have 4 bar or 5 bar on the top of the sticker with the part # and such. If it's not the 5 bar, order the updated one and a new pump and filter. I did the same, solved my hot restart misfires. I posted the bulletin in another thread.

Went to dealer to order fuel pressure regulator. Parts man said don't know the part.
It's not on the fuel system parts diagram. Came back little later said it's in the fuel filter. Integrated together heard it from mechanic. I'm confusing now. 03 s600 150k mi.
