Blower motor doesn't start sometimes
Replaced the regulator twice, once with a used part, now I just got a new part. Still giving me **** occasionally.
Do the brushes for the blower go bad? Whenever I bench tested the fan I didn't get issues.

Brushes wear out. So does the 40A fuse socket for the blower motor.

Can the brushes be replaced or do I need a new motor?

If the power to the motor is good, then, unfortunately, it's time for a new motor. Behr is good. MB is good. I wouldn't get anything from "offshore"...you'll be unhappy in the long run.

The weird thing is when I bench test the motor it works, only when driving around a bit does it grumble at me and then die, and then speed up/slow down a lot.
If it still does this after replacing the motor and the regulator then I’m going to have to do some digging.

Are you bench testing it with only 12v going to it? Because the regulator sends everything to it from I believe 6.0v all the way up to the 12v. Maybe it has issues once the voltage starts dropping as in when the regulator wants it to run slower. Good luck!
