2000 S 430 everything comes on won't turn over.
2000 S 430 dash lights up won't turn over. Changed brake light switch, hear click in engine compartment passages side. No power to the starter. No water in fuse boxes or Train flued in TCU. Noticed the gears are not showing on the dash when key is on. "P-S" Was running fine Friday, went to leave Friday night no start. "I changed the brake light switch because I noticed no brake lights "But after I did I noticed you have to have the key on for brake lights." My American made cars you don't." owned her 16 years with little troubles. Something else I just noticed this morning. I replaced the front struts' and air pump back in February but the front drivers is sitting way down again. Dose the car have to be running for pump to work? It is not coming on when I turn the key to try and start the car.

Well the next step is more involved . You’ll need to get a shifter , ecu , key and ignition switch as a matched set from a car being parted out and swap all 4 parts
some recyclers on eBay sell matched sets of the 4 parts for about $300 or maybe you can find a local car being parted out . All 4 parts must come from the same donor car as they are coded to work together

Something I just thought about. About 5 years ago it went into limp mod and the Crossroads auto cleaned the TCU. After cleaning it would not start so he ran a hot wire to starter solenoid that you could hook up and turn the key and it would start. Replaced TCU with matching numbered one and all was good. Last night I tried the hot wire that never was removed and the car started. Its in limp mode "won't shift out of 2nd" but starts.

What parts are you trying to get, the key shifter ecu ?
it should be from a w220 s430
the year isn’t as crucial but 00-02 is better as it’s before the mid cycle update

Yes that’s what you want but 2040parts is just an archive of old eBay listings
it’s not an item for sale right now .
I don’t see any current listings on eBay so search Craigslist or OfferUp for a car being parted out

Car "FIXED" I had a friend with a high in Snap-on scanner come by last nigh and clear the code. So far, its working fine. Can see gear interactor on dash again. Have no idea of why it messed up or why the codes cleared. Thank you for all the help. Im sure I will be back on the form needing Prays again. (-:
