I'm not sure how many know this, but I made a bolt on high performance exhaust for the W220. Out of all the cars I've owned, there have never really been many cool aftermarket upgrades for them. I made this exhaust for people out there that wanted to upgrade their W220. I probably should have studied the demographic a bit more closely, but hindsight is 2020 right? haha. Well anyway, I still have a complete bolt on exhaust system if anyone is interested. It' comes with new gaskets and I can ship it, or if you're in the area I'll deliver it. AGM batteries are a scam because normal lead-acid was always fine, cheap, it worked fine, and could be serviced for stupid cheap (lead - cheap, sulfluric acid - literally the most produced industrial chemical). Now people justify to themselves spending $250 or more on a battery that fails easily and cannot be serviced. It's a scam.

My 2009 E 300 AGM battery I replaced in 2021, kept it in the garage and it still passes al load tests.
My MB2002 S600, after purchase in 2012 with a cheap regular battery I replaced, has now had its AGM battery now for all these years and still passes all tests, including sophisticated MB tests with colors.
My wife's MB2014 C350 finally needed a new AGM battery after 7 years ( I blamed the notorious automatic start-stop function.
To me AGM batteries are tops on MB cars!
Thanks for sharing Kraut56. I've been reading a few discussions and there are definitely a lot of positive things about AGM batteries. Especially for the S600. I've had my OEM Mercedes battery since 2014 and it's just now starting to go bad. 😅

maybe 2 years too late but what are you asking for the kit? Not trying to pay 3-4k like other kits hahaha

Kraut56 how are you keeping the battery alive in the s600? I have a 2006 and in the first 3 years I've owned it i changed out the battery 3 times. I had to install a remote battery cutoff switch so the car wont drain the battery after 3-4 days of being parked. The cutoff switch does double as a theft deterent but the time on my clock is always off now.
im guessing the exhaust will fit all w220 models right? How loud is the exhaust? I dont want an exhaust thats too loud ans i dont like getting pulled over all the time.
