Help, s600 key won't turn after jump starting a friend's car

My friends pathfinder had a dead battery so I decided to give him a jump start. My car ran just fine afterwards. I parked it on the street since I had to drop somebody off that night. 3 hours later I dropped off my mother's friend with no incedent. Afterwards I parked the car in my parking spot where it sat for 2 days. I go to the car and click the unlock button, nothing happens. I go into the car and try to start it but the key won't turn. I'm about to remove the eis and check if anything is wrong with it. If anyone has an idea of how to fix this, please help.

Sounds like your battery is now dead too. Check voltage level.

I tried jump starting the car with a jumper pack which I know works because I have jumped this car before with it. The battery measures 12.6v so i dont think the battery is an issue. I have read that jumping another car with the keys in the ignition will delete the info in the eis. I really hope that isn't the case

Get yourself access to DAS and check if everything is ok

If not, you can program the keys back into the EIS yourself

sorry I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to mercedes. What's a Das? could you please explain how to program the key to the eis?

I removed the eis last night. I opened it up and everything looked fine. I even tried manipulating the lock so I could turn the key. I plugged the eis back in and turned the key. The fan turned on full blast and the tail lights kicked on
Other than that there was a message on the dash that said battery, visit woekshop. The car wouldn't crank. What really boggles my mind is that the problem didn't happen right after jump starting my friends car. I actually parked the car for 4 hours and it started right back up. It was the next morning that the alarm stopped working and I couldn't turn the key. It doesnt make sense to me at all. If it was going to act up wouldn't it act up right away? Why wait over night?

DAS is the Diagnostics Assistant of MB. You'll need a multiplexer box and a laptop with MB software installed. It is the only way to properly diagnose the car.

I think the car didn't crank because the electronical authorization didn't succeed.

I forgot to reply to this thread after I fixed the problem. For anyone that has starting issues, make sure you check the stupid hidden fuse box that nobody tells you about. It's located inside the dash inbetween the passenger side door. There is a 7amp fuse for the ignition. I wish I knew this before removing my eis. Thank God I didn't send my eis out for repairs which would have cost me $350 and up. Eventually I stumbled on a Chinese video on YouTube that showed me where this hidden fuse box is located and which fuse to check. I almost spend a bunch of money over a blown fuse. I've attached a picture of the fuse box. There aren't many fuses in it so I'm sure you can figure out if a 7amp fuse is blown without knowing which one to check
