Audio not working in my 02 s500. Any input would be very appreciated
Hey guys so my audio went out a few weeks ago in my 2002 Mercedes s500 and I’ve been dying without music. So finally I went to the trunk tested the yellow 20 amp fuse and it’s all good. So I ended up taking out the amp and cd changer because that’s all my car has. I tested the amp by seeing if the red light blinked when I turned the car on and it did blink red so I know the amps good. But then I looked at the cd changer and holy shi* it’s rusted to a**hole. And also when I pulled the power cable out came two of the pins attached to the cd changer went with it. I’ll include a picture. So the main question I have is, can I have the radio working with just the amp by bypassing the cd changer somehow, and if not does anyone know the part number for the power connector for the cd changer I need? Thank you for any help!!!

I had to change my audio gateway it usually be all the way at the bottom and it gets submerged in water that leaks in the trunk. My cd changer doesn’t work either but my radio and satellite radio worked since changing the audio gateway. Is there any water buildup after a heavy rain in the compartment?
Sorry I’m a bit of a noob, What does the audio gateway look like? And what is it attached to? But yea it looks like water dripped down there, there wasn’t a puddle or anything cuz I live in vegas so it probably evaporated pretty quick. And my rear left taillight is also not working they all went out when I was trying to change a taillight bulb at the same time yesterday. Just my luck, but there is corrosion on the metal frame too that goes to all The bulbs so I think there is a leak somewhere when I go to car wash or it rains. But I digress lol.
Yes you can bypass the cd changer
Mercedes sells a fiber optic bypass loop cable you’ll need to use so that the fiber optic signal continues uninterrupted
It was fixed! I bought one of the fiber optic cable connectors that looped it and bypassed the cd changer and it fixed it. But unfortunately my car’s Sam module went out and had to be replaced and now my audio is again not working. Any ideas?
my driver rear wheel well was not full of water but amp still went out. cheap fix. loop didnt work for me. i just use the cd player. dark side of the moon on repeat
