bluetooth interface

Does anyone know if Treo 650 is compatible with Mercedes bluetooth interface? I went to http://www.wireless4mb.com/bt_index.aspx and did not see Treo 650 listed. However, I noticed that one of our forum member did not have problem using his Treo 700w eventhough that model is not listed amongst the list of compatible phones either.

I called my local MB parts department yesterday, and he said that the bluetooth interface he carries only works with 2005-2006 S class. Is it true that S550 uses a different type of BT interface? I'm thinking of buying it anyways to see if it works. I'm assuming I can return it if it doesn't?

If you have any information, please let me know.

Thanks.

It should work with all bluetooth 1.1/ 1.2 phone. I had Bluetooth Interface connected last week on S550, it work with mine Nextel I870 and imported GSM Sharp V903. (only problem with Nextel i870 is that Direct connect cant work properly)

Pristine...go to http://www.wireless4mb.com/ and either call them or send them and email and they will provide you what you need. MB dealers will not handle the phones or cradles anymore.

oops...see you did go to their website...but give them a call and they can help you out. What you need is the BT Cradle module...they can tell you whether it will work or not...I would not buy anything from the dealer until you have talked with them.

Nevada Jack - I've aready tried calling them couple of times, but each time no one answered and it took me to a voice mail to leave a message.

I called the dealers today but no one seems to have it in stock right now and they don't know when they'll be getting it.

I have it working with my Treo 700w (see the thread https://mbworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=136889), and it works great! The address book does not transfer over, but dialing and receving calls works fine. The caller-id is displayed on the COMAND screen.

The module cost $350.

Can't you order it directly from AWS on their site or place a phone order? Their price is $350 incl. standard shipping.

Yeah, I had seen your thread and that's what makes me realized that maybe my Treo 650 would work too if you'rs did. However, they didn't list any Treos as being compatible with their bluetooth interface though.

Yeah, I would have ordered it, but I first want to make sure that my device will work with it.

I tested my Sprint Treo 650, running software version 1.12, and it worked fine. Once I also paired the phone with the COMAND system, I could send Address Book entries from the Treo into the COMAND.

Trying to get a hold on this elusive subject, my wife's treo 680 just freezes when we try and pair it with the MHI we just bought for her new E350. Auto Wireless says no return. We went with it because others had success, but now I'm feeling trapped. Everyone points fingers and nobody has a solution. The first time my wife called Auto Wireless they hung up on her when she questioned them as to why it didn't work. Hope you have success. Thought we'd try a razr we have to test the module.

I have a Treo 700w paired to the Bluetooth Dongle in a 2005 E320 and it interfaces very well with the unit. It borught over the Speed dial list as a phone book too. Pretty cool!!!
