well, the first crashed W221 i suppose.. was anyone hurt?
any link to the original news item? what was this about? based on the pictures, i think it's pretty clear the car did not blow itself up. there was very specific damage to the front passenger side. you would expect the fuel tank or engine to blow if the car really exploded by itself. also, looks like most of the damage occurred due to explosion (i.e. impact - although explosives were used as seen from the residue), rather than fire. as i would expect fire to spread more...
just talking off the top of my head so don't quote my "analysis" :p

Basically all they say is that S350 was burnt yesterday, and police is investigating this case, and one of the versions is that car was burned by someone on purpose. And in another link they say that car was blown by someone...

What amazes me is how the doors and glass stays intact on this crashes. A Benz has to take a pretty hard hit to even crack the glass.

Well. There was a accident with a W221 "Erlkoenig" where also the other driver died.
There are pics of the scenery with a extremely destroyed car and the s-class looks like that e-class (i mean not sooo much damaged)
but the testdrivers directly put a cover over the damaged s-class and also another one that drove right behind the damaged one.
I thought i saved these pics but it seems like i didnt... so i thought this pic was the one i was searching.... well.. sorry
