Hey guys...what a trip. Absolutely the worst weather in history. Snow and rain both ways and the crossing of the Rockies this morning was one of my scarriest driving experiences. Snowing like a blizzard, high winds, 19 degrees, cars all over the place, snow plows, salt and sand trucks...what a mess. But I made it and it was the same in any of the mountain passes all the way home...snow and rain showers. Pictures were not on my mind and I did not shoot one on the entire trip.

Here is one I shot in the garage and if fits fine...plenty of room on both ends...

I have a busy schedule tomorrow so it may be the weekend before I post some. I will post a few and then have a site for the rest of them

The car is fantastic...drove 770 miles today. The ABC and seats are unbelievable...sound is ear popping...just about have the COMAND and controls down.

Jack, the car looks awesome, especially when shot with the wide angle lens.

Boy I'll bet those knuckles were stiff and hurtin after that trip. Been there. I hope you didn't get any stone chips from the salt/slag. Man that drive must have SUCKED, especially in a brand new S550.

I'm interested in seeing lots of interior shots, as I'm still not sure whether to get blk or beige.

Wow you did it eh? Car looks great! I really like the way the OEM wheels sit in relation to the fenderlines, pretty aggressive for a stock car!

After the DMV it's off to my hand car wash...luckily after all the salt and sand I hit some heavy rain showers and that took a lot of the junk off the car.

I just thought about this, but coming from the 430, the w221 must feel like a rocket eh? I would imagine you cant really open her up yet, but the difference can be felt!

I went to the 430 from a E320 so that was a big difference. This is quite a change...plus 100HP. I have not accelerated it that much but I did cruise at 70+ and a lot of 50 to 75 and there is no hesitation...step on it and it is there. I am not much of a "driver" man but I think this thing can scoot.

The biggest thing I noticed was the handling with the ABC and the seats. The car does not roll at all and the side bolsters increase in support and you feel locked to the road. Took a lot of 40-60mph curves at 70+ and it was like driving downtown...

No they do not protrude beyond the fender line..almost flush with the rear panel.

If you look at the dirty car picture shot from above you will note you cannot see the tailpipes.

Here is another shot I took last night...you can just see the exhaust pipe on the right hand side...it extends a little from this view but it is flush with the trim. You can see the chrome trim on it the way the trim is finished.

Hey Jack...get that thing cleaned up and have a good coat of Pinnacle or Ziaino or equivilant wax put on it....especially before you leave town again.If you were nearby I would say bring it over and we'll do a "Q-Tip" detail on it to get it "Baptised" properly. Very Nice piece of equipment!! You made a great choice.
