Glauser shipped my car, and it arrived today at my house. Very cool watching this car come off an enclosed rig. The Designo Mocha Black is insane, and the interior is far more superior in person than in the pictures. The Alcantara roof and pillars are a perfect compliement to such a perfect interior. With the AMG package, I am soooooooo happy i didn't get the Audi S8. What was even thinking????

I dropped off my 2003 S500 today, and I can't believe how far superior the S550 is. It's raining in NY today, so I'll take pics over the weekend. This car is just flat out awesome.

Just curious, for those of you who got your cars from Glausser, what do you do for service? Does your local MB dealer still pickup/deliver and give you complimentary loaners?

Well I just take my car to MB manhattan on my way to work if i need service. They provide me a loaner car if the car is in for more than a day. If not, they provide me with a town car to take me to my office and i just take a taxi back to the dealership after work to pick up my washed car. If thats not service, dunno what is

Mine does...I think it depends how gracious they are depending on the relationship you have with your SA. Fletcher Jones in LV does not pickup/deliver but my SA always has a MB loaner for me. In fact they just sent me a note for their 6 month service and addressed it as a preferred customer.

Same here for my follow up to my first service.

Now that we dont have routine scheduled maintanance standard, does it pay to buy the package from the dealership that offers maintanance ?

I bought my E55 from FJ in Newport Beach but I strictly take it to MB Laguna Niguel for service simply because FJ is full of a bunch of *** holes. But I still get a loaner, they gave me a Star Membership even though I did not buy my car from them and hell treat me a hell of a lot better than FJ could in their dreams.

Chucky, What are the pricing packages for maintenance that they are offering? Can you post a pdf or something up for us to take a look at. I say go ahead and buy it since its just one less hassle to have to deal with you know.

I am looking for the site i saw. But My Service advisor told me that for about $1100 or so, u get Service A and B for the three years. (or whatever u normally get scheduled maintenance for)

Is it worth it though? I mean, I read somewhere that Service A is just some rubbish Ripoff.... I dont know so that is why I ask. Look in some tanks to see if there is oil, wash fluid, etc?

no we have requirements, but before, that used to come free Car says time for service, bring it in for the Scheduled maintenence and walk out without a bill. Now there are the $350 service A and $550 Service B bills.

I see. Boy I miss those days when I would take my car in for service and walk out w/ a big N.C. on the front. That went on for almost 50k miles! Those were the good old days!!

How many miles between services, and what's the warranty period on the W221s?

i hate getting nickel and dimed for service, and it is one thing i like about BMW. But do they really do the service? I guess it depends....some things they do are easily apparent. As for paying for service, BMW service is added into the price of the car when you buy it up front. My SL55 3 years ago had service included. Maybe one of the reasons the S550 is slightly cheaper than the S500 was is because service is not included anymore. Maybe others can chime in.

So, I've been out all day with the new ride, and I've gotten some pretty cool comments on the Desingo Mocha. But most just love the engineering of the new S550 as a car. I had a couple out tonight, and they just couldn't believe how comfy the rear seats are, along with all the options the rear seat package provides. And, of course, loved the interior!

Remember, I live on Long Island, and S500's and S550's are all over the place, not to mention all the S55's, SL55's, and CL 65's. But this car is special, and i just love the way it looks in the garage!

I promise to take pics tomorrow! Again, as I stated before...for all of you that have the previous model...this car is INSANE. I can't even begin to think what the S65/S600 must feel like after hitting the pedal.

Now, last but not least...CALL GREG WEILER AT GLAUSER NOW!!!!!!! Wow...what a dealership. From sales to finance to delivery, this company From start to finish,,Glasuer is on point but won't discuss the terms of the deal, but I truly feel it was beyond fair for this car (this is coming from a mortgage broker!!!!). If you are shopping for a car, call Greg. I mean, even the guy who delivered the car to my home (a very cool experience watching the car back out of the enclosed trailer) was so into this experience. The best part was speaking to this woman who took me through the entire car (but, to be fair, I figured out the system in 5 minutes...) as she was so pleasant and truly appreciatated the effort!

BOTTOM LINE: SICK CAR WITH GREAT FRIENDS = NICE!
