Need more information regarding interior color 255?
HI EVERYBODY!
Yesterday, I ordered a S550 4matic for my father. He chose white (960) for the exterior and the light beige/black interior which he saw on a similar car in the show room. I just want to make sure that color code 255 is the correct one.
Anyone has a picture with the interior color 255?
Is the exterior roof color black as suggested by some people on this forum!?!?!?!
Even on a white exterior color!?!?!?!

Code 255? Pics of MBUSA 855
Hi ,
I notice you are in Vancouver so maybe the Canada cars differ. In the US we have code 855 that is the Beige/Black Premium found only in the two Designo Launch cars of S550V & S550V4. US S550 cars do not have a 255 code available, 255 would translate into Regular Beige/Black.
On the interior codes the first digit is the type of leather, the last two are the color
55= Beige/Black
255=Standard
555=Exclusive(S600)
855=Premium
155=MB Tex
Hopes this makes some sense. I have attached some photo's of 855 Beige/Black that we have seen here.
The roof is body color unless the car has Panorama(413).

can you tell me the exterior colors specific to the S550V4 LE??
My company is interested in purchasing a new S550, but we cannot find the exterior color/interior combo (855 is what the CEO wants) that we are looking for.

Yes, you cleared everything for me. The photos look great.The car has Panorama and I think black roof/dark tinted glass on white body looks awesome.
My father didn't like the Nappa leather (555 & 855). I personally love Nappa leather. That is what I have in my SLK55 (black/red).

5 vs. 8 series leather
S550 Premium Leather Option(8xx) $1300 more than the 2xx series
Premium glove soft and fine-grained leather hand fitted to seating surfaces
S600 Standard leather
Exclusive leather interior treatment with a glove soft and fine grained leather hand fitted to head restraints, dash, console, doors, armrest and rear shelf. Alcantara covers on the pillars, sunvisors and headliner.
I would take this to mean it is same leather, but the 5 indicator means it is used everywhere in the car as opposed to the 8 indicator of seating surfaces only.
I will have to take a look at some 3-4 year old trade ins to give a good answer to the wear factor. I know the 5&8 series show scrathes more than the coarser 2 series.
