What do u guys think of new 2008 Lexus LS600?
Also, after looking at that picture above of the Maybach, I have to believe that other than a Citroen of the '60s and 70's, it is the ugliest car ever designed.
SECOND. THis is what Merc have done to get the amazing Nano paint we now have. Well worth reading this excellent article: -
MERCEDES NANO PAINT

I have posted the link on the general forum too, as it is of general Mercedes interest.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
This is a completely ignorant statement. Lexus really does use Toyota parts, Mercedes has nothing Chrysler. But Mercedes did give Chrysler some of their old parts and platforms which I see nothing wrong with.
If I start saying that the S-class is crap and all, don't you think I will get a response from MB owners so what do you think is different if MB owners start insulting Lexus owners. Duh! I don't care if this is an MB forum since it talks about the Lexus. And don't tell me that Lexus owners get out since I own both.

Also we have some people on this forum who don't own a Lexus yet makes statements that MB service is just as good or that Lexus is a Toyota when they haven't driven both most likely. Just total stupidity of some MB owners.
Whereas, the folks over at Lexus Mission Viejo were quite rude when I test drove the LS460l.
Have/had products from both companies and each has its strengths and weaknesses - to me, there is no such thing as a perfect car and certainly no perfect car manufacturer.
Our experience with local Lexus service is that it is superior to all the others we've experienced compared to MB, BMW, Audi, and Land Rover.
What's interesting for me personally is that the Lexus, BMW, MB and LR dealers local to me are all owned by the SAME company...

Now, can we just close this thread down? I think it's run its useful course...

I assume you are talking about prestige. I have had good service with BMW there.
