W221 S-Class Owners don't worry about the 2009 BMW 7 Series

I will admit, I was with the BMW 745/750 series wagon and also thinking about buying one. I have really thought about getting a CLS or the S-Class. MB has really stepped up their S-Class with a superior designed car. I live in Miami Florida and you see a lot of high end sedans daily. I have to say from the first time, I seen a white AMG S550 I fell in love with this car. It's almost head on with the Flying Spur. The BMW 7-series now is looking very outdated as it's reaching 7 years in production. I have seen the spy and photoshopped pictures of the 2009 7 series. The pictures are very accurate to the spy photos. The bodystyling is designed off the current 7-series E65/E66. I find this very disturbing. Looks like all BMW did was slim down the front and back headlamps. I am sure the inside won't differ to much. I am sure BMW is not looking to sell many of the coming 2009 7-series BMWs. I like how Benz redesigned the W221 inside and out. What a great job. I am not looking into getting one of the two MB cars. Could it be Benz time to take back the spotlight?

Without a doubt, Benz is back on top of the luxury car market. The new Lexus LS was my only concern but it seems even less appealing to me in terms of styling than the outgoing LS. I'd rather have the old LS than the new one. All Lexus models are beginning to look alike from a quick glance especially the GS and LS models.
I think that Daimler ditching Chrysler is also a very, very good financial and emotional move. I never liked that merger. The one at the bottom always drags down the one at the top in most cases.

Actually the LS is holding Lexus up right now, and to a lesser degree the IS. The GS is in the toilet.

Until BMW brings out the new 7-Series no one knows anything about it yet or how it will impact the market. BMW won't take the new S-Class running them over lightly.

Idk, I have both an '07 S550 and an '07 750Li in my driveway and I feel like the 750Li drives better all around (not saying its a better car, but I like the handling and overall feel better). I'm sure the new 7 series will be incredible.

You are right. RX (Smaller of the Lexus SUVs) is their biggest seller.
